There's
help just for the asking!
In a world of frustration, stress and trying to make
ends meet, sometimes you need a helping hand to take
care of what really matters...your child(ren). Kathi's
Kids is a community based program that is here for you.
With dedicated volunteers and staff, we want to help
relieve some of your cares.
Here is how we will help:
● Self Esteem Training
● Tutoring in Math, Reading and English
● Refreshments
● Learning and Activities in a fun atmosphere
● Love and Caring
● Technical Training for Children

What is The Cost?
This is a free program, however, this program is
sustained by corporate donations, private donations,
sponsorships and from donations from individuals like
you! Checks can be
made out to Kathi's Kids, a part of Northco Development
Inc. a recognized 501 c-3 nonprofit organization under the
Internal Revenue Code.
Is there anything I need to do?
Contact us today for a registration. You will be asked to
fill out a registration form for our records. This will help us
to know some basic information about your child, (i.e. phone,
name address).
Why this program?
This is a genuine program to help children to succeed
and excel in life, this is not
a baby sitting program. This program is designed to
excite your child about learning and to help them to learn great
social skills in a Faith Based environment.
Our desire is to help your child to become all that they were
born to become.
All a child needs is an opportunity. We are to help give that
opportunity, maybe an opportunity you didn't have.
Who are our staff and volunteers?
They vary in their professions. Some are teachers, business
owner's, homemakers, college students and our professional staff
and the list goes on. All staff and volunteers have received a
Washington State Patrol Background Check and are citizens
concerned for our children's safety and well being, and are from
various multicultural backgrounds. Students in higher grades,
3rd, 4th & 5th grades, are qualified to participate in our technical
programs including the Future
Aviators Association
training program. This arm of the Kathi's Kids program
focuses on inspiring students to excel in math, science, and
reading along with developing strong self discipline skills to
help students to be prepared for a future career of their
choice.
How does my child get to the location, and where are you
located?
Children must be dropped off. The programs begins at
7:00pm and ends at 9:00 pm each 1st Friday.
However, please arrive around 8:45pm to pick up your child.
Kathi's Kids Friday Night Program is
held at: The Academy of Excellence (located at the PCC Building
- next to the Pierce County Library Administration Building),
3211 - 112th Street East, Tacoma WA 98446, (253) 566-7497.
Registration forms must be filled out
and completed for your child(ren) to participate in this program. This is a program
that children will enjoy! Ages
(1st grade - 5th grade) .
Our staff periodically plan meetings for
parents to attend to keep them informed of what is happening
with their child(ren).
