God’s intervention into Kathy’s life started early.   She was born again at the age of 14, and at the age of 18, (after suddenly finding out she was adopted and born out of wedlock), she personally experienced God’s awesome power to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free.

Kathy is an ordained minister of the gospel, operating in the office of a prophet, and assisting her husband with pastoral duties.  She preaches the gospel in a practical, uncompromising, down-to-earth, and powerful heart stirring way.  She genuinely wants to see those that are captives go free, which is evident when she ministers powerfully by the anointing of God.

Kathy is the founder of The Fat Free Lifestyle program designed to help women with a total transformation: body, soul, and spirit. She is a certified Fitness and Nutrition Trainer, and has a degree in counseling, a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and a doctorate in Ministry. Kathy is the founder of Kathi’s Kids - a program assisting inner city children with self esteem building, educational skills, etc.; First Lady Boutique a program providing professional clothing for women entering the workforce, and Single Mothers with Purpose, assisting single mothers with lifestyle success skills.  Kathy is also a gifted administrator, and has established many of the Helps Ministry areas of Pacific Christian Center as co-founder with her husband.

Kathy has authored several books including Desperate Dieters, Guard Your Heart, Coming out of Egypt, Living in the Kingdom of God and her first children’s book, I’m Big Inside.  Kathy and her husband are regular hosts on Trinity Broadcasting Network and broadcast a weekly television program “Real Life in the Word”.

Kathy is the wife of Dr. Donald Shorter, Sr., the pastor of Pacific Christian Center Church located in Tacoma/Seattle, Vancouver/Portland, and soon Bellingham, Washington. They have been married over 33 years and have three grown children – Monet Shorter, Dawnet Davis, and Donald Jr. and granddaughters Aurianna and Anayas.  All their children work in the ministry.
